Our Story

Since 2014, when founder and CEO Jamie Noe jumped off a cliff with Jesus, IGA’s goal has been simple: To serve our employees and our customers to the very best of our abilities. Sometimes that means late nights, sometimes it means early mornings. 

Those late nights and early mornings have resulted in an organic growth rate of 35% average year over year with 97% retention. That’s not by accident. That’s intended growth as a result of our unrelenting desire to take care of business for all of our clients, and our people.

IGA has a culture of obsessing over our TEAM and our TEAM obsessing over our clients.  We may not be sexy, but we do whatever it takes to put our team and clients in the best position to excel in their life and businesses.

Jamie Noe | CEO

A dynamic visionary determined to create a different type of agency, Jamie founded Insurance Group of America in 2014. Native to Campbellsville, KY, Jamie has a reputation for bringing a level of passion and energy rarely seen in the industry. That passion extends from his team to his clients to his growing family and the charitable causes they support. As CEO, he leads the charge for creating what an atypical insurance agency model he’s always envisioned: blending strong infrastructure and support staff with highly dynamic and energetic producers. His infectious energy and persistence have proved to produce unmatched results for IGA clients and has quickly turned the firm into one of the emerging stars in the Southeast’s insurance industry.

Craig Whitlow | Partner

Craig Whitlow joined IGA as Vice President in 2017, where he leads the Surety operation and works closely to assist his clients. With more than 30 years of experience, Craig’s expertise lies with bonding and insurance for the construction industry. His extensive wealth of knowledge on the bond side, coupled with his dedication to his clients and colleagues, has resulted in a tremendous record of success throughout his career.

Richard Girdler | Partner

Richard came to IGA in 2021 with over 30 years in the employee benefit segment of our industry. He spent over 20 of those years in senior leadership, and growing what became the 10th largest privately held employee benefit brokerage in the nation. His expertise is in helping business owners see the core issues of why health benefits are expensive and brings solutions to improve benefits and contribute positively to the bottom line.

Andrew Bennett | Partner

Andrew Bennett serves as Director of Operations at IGA, where he oversees the day-to-day activities of the company, ensuring that the organization is managed and performing efficiently and effectively. Andrew graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor of Science in 2015. In 2020, he completed his Master of Business Administration.

Lisa Wilson | Partner

Lisa joined IGA in January 2021, and currently serves as the Director of Marketing. She brings with her over 40 years of insurance knowledge and experience, which has made her instrumental in the growth of IGA’s book of business. Prior to joining IGA, she spent her career working for both regional and national brokers where she was involved in the placement of complex commercial accounts. She has longtime relationships with national and regional insurance companies along with experience working with accounts across a broad variety of industry segments.  Lisa is a lifelong resident of Franklin, TN and attended Middle TN State University.

Gregg Gaughran | Partner

Gregg serves as Director of Claims and Education at IGA. He also leads the service internship program, developing IGA’s future dynamic staff members and leaders. Gregg brings four decades of insurance industry knowledge and insight to IGA and its clients. He was an Executive for a super-regional insurance carrier, and served as Operations Manager at one of Ohio’s largest insurance agencies. With that, he brings insight from both the broker and carrier side that provides IGA with a solid foundation – enabling the firm to identify opportunities and risks that otherwise may go un-noticed, and ultimately lead to unrivaled results for clients.

Mark Stauffer | Partner

Mark Stauffer is Chief Financial Officer at IGA and is responsible for all the company’s financial functions, which include managing cash flow, developing budgets, financial reporting, and compliance. As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, he works closely with the CEO and other executives to ensure the daily operations align with the company’s strategic goals. Mark graduated from Middle TN State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in accounting.
